Share & Grow Night #2, Bern - Biomimicry

>>> SIGN UP HERE

Because euforia is filled with people who have all kinds of talent, the new (r)evolution lab will contain something we call Share & Grow Nights. It should be an open, flexible and interactive place where all members of the euforia community can sign up to share their knowledge and skills, get input on ideas and projects, and try out new ideas in a "safe space".

At the second Share & Grow on friday evening, the (r)evolution lab team will host the evening, and create a cool workshop for you that will focus on the topic: Biomimicry.

Biomimicry (from bios, meaning life, and mimesis, meaning to imitate) is the conscious emulation of life's genius. Biomimicry is a practice that studies nature’s best ideas, models, systems and processes, and then emulates them in order to solve some of the greatest human challenges. The core idea is that nature, imaginative by necessity, has already solved many of the problems humans are grappling with. Animals, plants, and microbes are the consummate engineers, physicists, architects, chemists, designers and eco-system providers. They have found what works, what is appropriate, and most important, what is sustainable and lasts here on Earth. This is the real news of biomimicry: After 3.8 billion years of research and development, failures are fossils, and what surrounds us is the secret to survival and prosperity.

The event will be hosted by Tariq Al Olaimy. He is a co-founder of 3BL Associates, which is a people + planet strategy consultancy and think-do-tank that was established to reimagine a more regenerative Middle East. As an educator at heart, Tariq has conducted workshops and trainings across six different continents, and is a co-chair of UNESCO's Global Action Programme on Education for Sustainable Development network. Tariq was named as one of 10 Muslim men worldwide who are shaping the world by Mvslim.com.

The Share & Grow Night will take place at KaosPilots, Wylerringstrasse 36, 3014 Bern
